What is your Self Love Language? (by Alison)
Updated: May 21, 2020
I have always loved The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman and The Five Love Languages of Children by Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell. I’ve used them both to deepen my heart connection with people who are precious to me.
In my marriage, our love for each other is palpable, and in my close family relationships and friendships, I feel I now understand these people so much better. Our connections and experience of each other have deepened. More recently I’ve used the children’s Love Languages with my grandchildren and made the time that we spend together even more precious and rewarding.
I was recently excited to realize that we can use the Love Languages with ourselves. This has helped me a lot with my own self care, self love and self respect.
Over the next few weeks I will share some journaling questions for you to come up with ideas for your own self care using the Love Languages. See which categories appeal to you the most. The ones that do will most likely be your own personal Languages of Self Love.
